Here’s an interesting fact.  Did you know that 60% of the people who visit a doctor about hair loss are women?  Most people don’t realize this but the fact is female hair loss is a big problem.  What is very telling is the fact that almost all the products that deal with thinning and balding hair problems are targeted toward men.

The main cause of hair loss in both men and women is Androgenic Alopecia or its common name male pattern baldness.  Even the name is indicative of the bias toward male hair loss.  Even though both sexes suffer from the same genetic condition the way it is manifested is quite different.

If you don’t know at least one person who has done it before then go and do some research first. Although its great if you can talk to someone you know well who can give you a balanced view of the pros and cons involved. The Internet can only give you so much information, and some of it cannot be trusted.
