George Foreman Indoor / Outdoor Grill 0

Jun3

Grilling foods outdoors is a deep-rooted part of American culture.  As technology has improved, so has grilling technology. These days, people who want to grill don’t need to hassle with messy charcoal or even propane gas. Electric grills are rapidly becoming popular as a mainstream way to barbecue. These grills can be used in tight spaces such as apartment patios without breaking regulations. To use, one only needs to plug the grill into a wall outlet and turn a dial. Variable temperature control allows for pin-point precision when cooking. Electric grills come in many forms, but the most elaborate models have a freestanding mount and lid.

You may have heard of George Foreman electric cooking appliances. Most of these units are designed for use indoors on the countertop, but he also makes a full-sized indoor/outdoor electric grill. This model can be used on a countertop or placed on the included stand. It is durable enough to be used outdoors and safe enough for the indoors. George Foreman’s innovative grill does not use charcoal or even gas, it uses power from your wall outlet. The electric heating elements are much like the ones used in your convection over in the kitchen. The heat can be adjusted from low to high, just like you would with any conventional grill.

Underneath the grate is a handy grease pan which captures oils as they fall down. The pan is slanted, allowing the grease to slide into a collection basin for easy removal between uses. The grill top measures 17 inches in diameter, enough room to feed an entire family or two. The grilling surface is coated with non-stick material for easy cleanup. The domes lid allows hot air to circulate inside, forming a convection action that reduces cooking time. The grate can be removed for cleaning in the sink.
