How to Clean Your Glass Display Cabinet 0
There are so many items that we as humans take for granted, such as the stove taking exactly two minutes to preheat, the water shooting out from the shower right as we twist the knob, and display cases at museums or even in our homes being crystal clear; seldom, however, do we realize how valuable they are until they require us to repair them. One of the items mentioned in that list was display cabinets, objects with transparent glass that allow humans to look inside them and see items on display. For example, a mother may take her children to the local museum, and while they are exploring the scenery, they may come upon a small glass display cabinet with an ancient stamp inside of it. Display cases provide safety for objects inside of them, especially from things like dust, thieves, and careless exhibitioners. There is nothing to provide protection for the cases themselves, though, and that is why it is essential to clean them from time-to-time. Below, individuals will find a small step-by-step guide on how to effectively clean a glass display cabinet:
1) Gather the necessary materials: anti-static dust repellent spray, some microfiber cloths, and a duster.
2) Remove everything in the display case so that they do not get in the way while you clean the dust out of it.
3) Spray the top of the case with the dust-repelling glass cleaning spray. Although there are many name brands of sprays available, choose a moderately expensive one so as to be sure it is effective.
4) Take a microfiber cloth and wipe off the very top of the case. Next, spray the exterior sides of the display case, wiping everything until all the dust, fingerprints, dirt, mud, and any other debris are gone from sight.
5) Take the cleaning spray and use it on the inside surfaces of the cabinet. Then, take a few new microfiber cloths and wipe everything inside the case well.
6) Put everything back on display as it were prior to your cleaning. If the display case has doors, you may clean them now. From here on out, though, use a duster daily on the cabinet to ensure that dust stays gone. Weekly, use the dust repellent on the outside of the cabinet.
7) Enjoy your sparkly, glass cabinet!
