How to Win RV Auctions Online 0
While using the “buy-it now” price is a guaranteed way to purchase an RV since you are basically bypassing the bidding part of it, it isn’t the best strategy for winning RV auctions online at a great price. You want to not only buy the RV, but pay as little as possible for it.
Online auctions for RV foreclosures are similar to many other items sold that way. The auctions tend to have a flurry of bidding at the very end. Often the last bidder is the one who wins the auction. Sometimes it is not the very last one, but one of the later bids that was just a little bit more that ends up being the highest.
To be the last bidder, you can use the automatic bid feature that tells the computer to place a bid for you anytime you are outbid up to a certain amount. While this can work well, someone can still outbid you when the maximum is reached or if the computer doesn’t have the correct timing just before the auction closes.
A better way to win RV auctions online is to wait to bid until the very end. Open up the same auction in two separate browser windows. Use one to place what you think will be the winning bid amount plus some extra cents. Most people like to bid even dollar amounts or in 50-cent, or possibly 25-cent, increments. Pick an amount that ends $.38 or $.89 to increase your changes of being the highest last-second bidder.
Place your bid then go to the “confirm bid” screen. Don’t confirm it yet. Watch the auction in the other window until it has about 10 seconds to go. If you are really certain about your timing, you can wait until 5 seconds. Hit the “confirm bid” button when there are a few seconds left. You should be the last one in and with the right amount, you will be the highest bidder too.
