Space wolves, a space marine legion has gained in popularity over time. More and more game enthusiasts were captured by the lore of the wolves.  Probably one of the main reasons why many are fascinated with this is because of its wide troops selection and history. I have here a list of space wolves troops and a brief description.

Blood Claw. They are  the youngest space wolves and act as assault squads. They use their skill and ferocity on the battlefield to fight back against their foes. Most often, they are larger than any other marine squad. A Bloodclaw squad can consist of fifteen members.

Grey Hunters. These are blood claws who were able to endure the hardship in the battle field,survive and gain experience. Grey Hunters are usually the most numerous types of squads in Space Wolves armies. Grey hunters are capable of doing great damage shooting and sometimes even more in close combat.

Long Fangs. These are the older more grizzled veterans of the Space Wolves. They provide the heavy support and are usually tasked with destroying tanks or other enemy vehicles.

Wolf Guard. These are the veterans of the Space Wolves. They are promoted to the position of Wolf Guard due to great achievement on the battlefield. They are responsible for ensuring the security of other wolves especially the Wolf Lords. They are known also as leaders and influence the younger packs with their knowledge and expertise.

Wolf Scouts. They are space wolves that work behind the enemy lines to interrupt all means of communication and eliminate their opponent’s leaders. They are also known as an intelligence group and act as secret agents or make unexpected strikes against their enemies. Wolf Scouts are usually under the supervision of a Wolf Priest.

Different troops have their own set of strength and weaknesses, but it is up to the player to make his move and implement tactics to be able to win the fight. All games of Warhammer 40,000 can be totally different. For more information on the Space Wolves go to Greyarmored.com.
