Purchasing A Central Vacuum Cleaner Checklist 0

Mar15

So you are considering purchasing a central vacuum cleaner for your home.  Congratulations!  You are taking the first steps towards having an excellent cleaning system that will give you more free time to do things you enjoy.  Below, we have compiled a list that you can follow in order to ensure that you get a cleaning system that is best suited for your home and family.  There are many central vacuum cleaners on the market and it pays to choose the best one for you.

Here is the checklist:

•    Know the measurements and size of your home.  By doing this you will avoid paying extra for a system that is larger than necessary for your needs.
•    Study the suction power (waterlift) of the different brands and models of central vacuum cleaners on the market.  Again, while you want your system to have adequate suction power, you do nor need a system that was designed for perhaps a much bigger premises than yours.
•    Be aware of the different standards of filtration available.  If you have a member in your family that is subject to suffering from allergies, you may well wish to purchase a central vacuum cleaner that has excellent filtration.  These are available, with HEPA filters and with the added option of having the base unit vented to the outside.
•    Decide whether you want a bagged or bagless dirt collection system.  Both are available.  In one system you empty a canister of dirt and dust when the system needs to be emptied and in the other type of system the dirt is collected in a bag, which you discard.
•    Pay attention to the accessories available with each model.  The accessories vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and one set of accessories may suit your needs more than others.
•    Do plenty of online research.  Check out sites such as ‘thecentralvacuum.com’ as a good starting point in your search for a central vacuum cleaner for your home.
