Trouble Staying on A Diet? Try This Tactic 0
If you’ve been trying to cut down on your calories to lose weight, you probably have found as I have that it is easy in theory but very difficult to do in practice. Part of the problem has been just keeping away from foods that keep you fat.
That’s not to say that the foods are bad in and of themselves, It’s just that we tend to eat too much of them in the first place. Take for instance bread; if you eat two slices a day, it can vary from 150 – 300 calories depending on how you eat it.
If you combine it with peanut butter, jelly, or some other sugar based ingredient, you’ve doubled you calorie count on the bread. Now if you make a sandwich with meat and mayonnaise, you’ve more than doubled the calorie content. So how do we eat to lose weight without starving?
One way to do it is to eat the same amount of food each day but cut your meals in half. That means actually eating six or more small meals and keeping your desire to eat under control. Part of the problem we have is the need to eat until we are full. Often that means having distended bellies.
If we can make eating small 120 calorie meals a habit, we can significantly cut our calorie consumption down slightly but find we are melting the fat from our bodies by increasing our metabolism. We literally burn our calories more efficiently. Our blood sugar level remains normal and even for the entire day and there is less of a need for our liver to secrete hormones that keep us fat.
Another great reason to eat smaller but more frequent meals is the digestion process is greatly helped. You no longer feel the hunger pangs or the bloating that comes with eating too much. You still get to eat foods that you like but save the rest for later.
If you are on a diet, you can actually eat more effectively that way. Just stick to your meal plan but break up your food into separate containers in order to ensure that you eat at the appropriate times. Stay away from highly fattening or processed foods regardless of your diet plan and keep it simple sailor, that’s the best way to succeed at losing weight.
