Ways That You Can Make Money 0
For the sake of argument, let’s assume you are desperately in love with fish sticks.
Just go with it, okay?
You’re a fish stick fanatic. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, supper, midnight snack – fish sticks.
And, just for the sake of argument, let’s assume you have a website entirely devoted to the little fried critters. Fish stick fans from across the globe flock to your site to confess their addiction, discuss proper condiment pairing, and set up dining occasions. Well, odd as your fishy site may be, it could be making money with Google.
Google’s AdSense program allows you to sell the extra space on your site as advertising, a fishy billboard to the masses. Here’s how:
Google’s clients come to Google, desperate to sell fish sticks and other related paraphernalia. And, really, they don’t know where else to turn. They’ve got a pretty specific market – these are gourmet fish sticks here. Their target audience has got to really love the things.
So Google takes the case. They charge the fishmongers a small rate for every time an ad is clicked on. Then Google spreads these ads around their search result pages, especially those related to keywords like “fish,” “fish stick,” and “Van de Kamp.” Sales soar for the fish stick sellers, and Google gets paid for the ads.
But both of these parties could make more money if the ads were more widely spread. Granted, a lot of people use Google, but some people who love fish already know where to look (i.e., your fan site.) So, Google offers to advertise on your website. Your site now shows ads to all those fishy admirers, relating to all their fish stick needs. More ads are seen, more ads are clicked, and both you and Google make money.
So, do you want a little extra money from that crazy fish site? Check out more information about Google’s AdSense program!
