Most women love to buy new clothing and accessories but ladies shoes are by far an obsession for millions of women around the world! One can speculate why so many women are obsessed with shoes but no one really knows why. Maybe it is because the right shoe can make a person look slimmer or taller or maybe it is simply because an outfit is not complete without the right color and style of shoe. Whatever the reason, women’s shoes always were, still are and most likely will be the most popular fashion accessory for a long time to come.

Shoes come in so many different styles, colors and types. Maybe this is one reason why women usually have so many pairs. Every woman I know, including myself, has the same excuse for having so many pairs. I need a pair for the office, a pair for walking, a pair for job interviews, a pair for the beach, a pair for going to the clubs and a pair of ladies slippers for just hanging around. Not to mention, I need various styles for each activity because it’s a necessity to have them in every color and design to match each outfit. Here are some examples of the types of women’s shoes that are available:

High heels – These are available in a variety of heights and styles including stilettos. Platform high heels are the rage right now.
Sandals – These also come in various heights and styles from the flip-flop to the wedge. Gladiator sandals are still in this year.
Boots – There are knee and thigh high, high heel boots and simple flats that are wide enough to tuck your skinny jeans into.
Pumps – These are great for the office, formal events, or going to dinner. Peep toe or open to pumps are very popular.

Of course, this is just a small sample of the types of shoes that are out there. Every season, a new style or trend hits the streets and takes off. Over time, hundreds, if not thousands of different styles have become popular and faded away. Some come back like the platform and others remain timeless.
